But I’ll probably do it again. Last night, I, um. Well, rip it off like a bandaid, right? Last night I listened to a Christmas song on 103.3.
There. I said it. I’m sorry.
I learned from Universal Hub that they had stated their 24/7 Christmas music thing the other day, and I held off over 24 hours. But I gave in to the dark side on the drive home last night. Two songs, and one of them was “Do They Know It’s Christmas” which, let’s be frank, is more of an 80’s “Where are they now” game than a Christmas Carol.
I changed it back to WBCN after that, but I think the damage was done, because when I got home I ripped the cellophane off Josh Groban’s “Noel” and ripped it to iTunes. I assume I’m going to give it a look-see at work today.
So Happy Holidays, everyone!
I stopped into my regula Dunkin’ Donuts this morning and, gah, they were playing Christmas music (but, fortunately, no Rachael Ray screeching).
I bet you were wearing your red hat with the white fur trim when you wrote that.
WROR is playing all Christmas music too. I’ve been listening, and I ain’t ashamed. Got to expose my son to the classics early.
Yes, well, pregnant women get a pass. I’m telling you, I love everything about Christmas. But there’s just something wrong about hitting the 24 hour music so early!
While I was shocked to hear Christmas music on Oldies 103.3 so soon, that certainly hasn’t stopped me from listening. For some reason I’ve been craving wanting to hear Christmas music much earlier this year than usual – usually I can hold off until at least after Thanksgiving. Can I at least use the same excuse as Christine and blame the hormones? =)
Um, well I guess that would depend, wouldn’t it! Is that what the Leominster bloggers are supposed to be doing this year???!!!
If listening to Christmas music warms the cockles of your heart, go for it ! .. Funny that stations like 103.3 call 70s classic music. In the 70s I had to wait on gas lines and go by odd and even license plates in order to get home from school. At school I met some of the guys that came back from ‘nam pretty screwed up. Sorry, 70s aren’t too classic by me. I have to escape to XM now adays although I have not heard Christmas music there yet. Enjoy the weekend.. Jerry
My tree is up. How sick is that?
Not sick at all, unless you did it two weeks ago. I figure this weekend is fair game for most people, given we usually put our tree up 6 days from now.
I put up a Department 56 building – does that count?
Which Dept 56 village do you have?
