Just as a heads-up, I’m not going to be awake when the clock strikes 01:02:03 on 04/05/06. I could, but I won’t. I don’t think the world is going to end, and while it’s kind of cool, it’s not worth me waking up in the middle of the night. Unless I have to pee and I’m already up.
If you do “experience” this as it happens, though, please feel free to drop me a note to let me know if you felt a disturbance in the Force.
Why not be up at 00:01:23 instead (12:01:23 AM)? That’s not quite as late.
Because that’s not the same, now, is it? There’s a whole extra 1 and 2 in your option…
It’s not quite as Lawrence Welk-ish, either…oh-one, oh-two, oh-three…
As a bizarre and possibly way too morbid aside: On one of the “Faces of Death” movies, you can hear that countdown playing on a TV in the background just before some guy jumps to his death from his window ledge. Clearly, he was anticipating this day to come.
Now that I have managed to date myself horribly TWICE in one comment…I must add that I am NOT 72 years old. really.
You can subtract 4 hours for GMT time…Zulu Military time..
I don’t recall feeling a damn thing last time it happened.
Whatever, MATT KALL.
I was probably awake, but didn’t know it. Nothing on the news yet about the US disintigrating.
Nah, Laurie, none of these guys is Matt.
I slept through it. I don’t feel one bit sorry, either.
I was in art class (as a baby, yeah, that’s it) on 12:34 5/6/78. I remember the instructor mentioning it, but nothing dramatic happened. I won’t be staying up for this one.
Unless you clock displays military time it will be the same in the PM also.
